Maria Jaspers

Director at the Cartels Directorate, the European Commission’s DG COMP. She joined DG COMP in 2001 and has held various managerial roles including in the transport unit and policy directorate. In 2008, was appointed Deputy Head of Unit of the antitrust and merger case support unit where she was responsible for the coordination of all antitrust and cartel cases, including fine issues. She later led this unit. Before joining DG COMP, she spent two years in private practice.
