Project manager for the Datatilsynet – Norwegian Data Protection Authority’s new Regulatory Sandbox for Privacy and AI – one of initiatives in the Norwegian Government’s National Strategy for AI where the aim is to stimulate innovative and responsible AI. Kari has several years of experience from the Datatilsynet as a social scientist with particular focus on strategy, analysis and policy development. She led the work for the report on AI and privacy that the Datatilsynet launched in 2018. Kari spent two years in Bangkok as VP in Telenor Group with responsibility for privacy in Telenor’s Asian business units. From 2006 to 2013 she advised Parliament on the impact and future potential of technology as a senior project manager at the Norwegian Board of Technology.
