Senior Fellow at the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California (USC) and a USC Marshall Initiative on Digital Competition affiliate. She is the former Chair of Mexico’s Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE). Alejandra was the first woman to preside over COFECE. During her eight years as Chair, in 2013 - 2021, the agency handled several unprecedented antitrust cases for legacy industries. Throughout her tenure, she also served as Vice President of the ICN, and as a board member of the OECD’s Competition Committee. Previously, Alejandra worked as Competitiveness and Regulatory Project Director at the Mexican Institute of Competitiveness.
