Lady Vivien Rose

Lady Rose of Colmworth, DBE joined the UK Supreme Court as a Justice on 13 April 2021. She read Law at Newnham (matric 1979) and was a barrister in Gray’s Inn for 10 years specialising in domestic and EU competition law. In 1995, she joined the Government Legal Service. She was appointed to her first judicial post in 2005 when she became a Chairman of the Competition Appeal Tribunal. Vivien became a High Court Judge in May 2013 sitting in the Chancery Division. She was President of the Upper Tribunal (Tax and Chancery Chamber) between 2015 and 2018. She was sworn in as a Lady Justice of Appeal in January 2019.
