The increasing commercialisation of sport raises questions of how to best regulate the sector. Are professional sports “natural monopolies” that should be exempt from competition law? Or are they a commercial activity like any other?​A panel representing the European Commission, the sports industry and private practice will discuss the interface between competition law and rules adopted by sports governing bodies.
