Acting Deputy Director, Bureau of Competition at the US Federal Trade Commission (on detail from the US Department of Justice). Patty has an extensive experience in antitrust enforcement, having joined the DoJ's Antitrust Division in 1989. She has held a variety of leadership positions, including more than ten years in the Division’s Front Office.  In 2010-2019, she was the Director of Civil Enforcement; and in 2006-2010 – the Deputy Director of Operations. Previously, Patty was a staff attorney in several sections in the Division, was Special Counsel for Microsoft Decree Enforcement, and has been involved in civil case cooperation and technical assistance trainings with many international jurisdictions. Patty graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles in 1983.  She is active in the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section and several organizations advancing women’s participation in competition law.
