Head of the General Policy Division at the German Bundeskartellamt since October 2015. Prior to that, in 2007-2015, she was a chairwoman of the 2nd Decision Division in charge of wholesale and retail, consumer goods industry, agriculture. After studying economics at the University of Cologne, she joined the Bundeskartellamt in 1991. She was a rapporteur on various sectors (automotive, waste management, engineering, electricity, medical devices) and served as Head of the Merger control unit.
