Vera Thiemann

Head of Competition, Compliance & Data Protection at CECONOMY AG. Vera has more than 14 years of experience advising on all aspects of competition law, including international merger control, antitrust issues, compliance and cartel damages litigation. Previously, she was Head of Competition & Compliance at METRO AG. Before going in-house, Vera practiced competition law in the Hamburg and Brussels offices of Allen & Overy and the Freshfields Düsseldorf office. Specialised in EU competition law, Vera advised on cartel investigations and merger control proceedings with the European Commission and numerous national Competition Authorities.
