Rita Prates is a Legal Adviser at the merger control department of Autoridade da Concorrência (AdC), the Portuguese Competition Authority. Rita has extensive practice in Competition and EU Law. On behalf of AdC, Rita served as Co-Chair of the Merger Working Group of the ECN in 2018-2020. Before joining the AdC, Rita was a competition lawyer at PLMJ, a top tier Portuguese law firm, and an intern at the European Commission - DG Competition.
