Norman Manoim

Chairperson of South Africa’s Competition Tribunal (CT) since 2009. He has served as a full-time member of the CT since its inception in 1999. He was a member of the drafting team that drafted the S. African Competition Act. Norman also teaches competition law at the University of Witwatersrand. Prior to joining the CT, he was the managing partner of Cheadle, Thompson & Haysom, in Johannesburg.  Graduated with a BA, LLB from University of the Witwatersrand and was admitted as attorney in 1984.
