I have been working as the head of legal and compliance for Borusan Boru since 2024. Before, I worked 14 years in three different companies as in house legal counsel. I consider compliance and risk management as one of the main functions of the legal department. As the head of legal, I have a crucial duty to draw red lines when necessary. Managing business partners' interests and balancing the legal needs of the company are the most challenging aspects of my job. My most important goal is to increase the awareness for each department regarding legal risks they may face and empower compliance and risk management side of the company.
