Melissa Newham is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Center of Economic Research at ETH Zürich. She holds a PhD in Economics from KU Leuven. Previously she worked as a researcher at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) and as a trainee in the Chief Economist Team of the European Commission DG Competition. Her research interests are in applied microeconomics, industrial economics, and competition. Sectors of expertise include healthcare, energy and digital markets.
