About:
Head of Unit responsible for antitrust enforcement in the energy and environment sector of the European Commission's DG COMP. After some private practice in a Brussels law firm, Marieke joined the European Commission in 2007 where she has been working mainly on antitrust enforcement and policy with particular focus on the IT and telecommunications sector. Marieke graduated as a lawyer from Humboldt Universität Berlin and holds a MA in European Studies from Università di Siena.
