Judge at the General Court of the EU since 19 September 2016. Previously served as Judge at the Commercial Court, Lisbon (1999-16), which used to hear competition law appeals. She has taught law at a number of Portuguese universities and at the Centre for Judicial Studies; served as Secretary-General (2012-15) and then President (2015-16) of the Association of Portuguese Judges. Graduated in law from the University of Coimbra (1991); postgraduate studies in intellectual property law at the University of Lisbon (2001).
