About:
Maria has been working in merger control for 15 years, both in private practice and in different competition authorities. She is currently a Director in the Mergers Group at the CMA. She has gained invaluable experience in effectively delivering complex merger investigations at the CMA with increased level of responsibility since she started as Principle Case Office and then as an Assistant Director. She is a qualified lawyer in the UK and in Portugal and holds an LLM from the College of Europe and a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics for Competition Law from King’s College.
