I have been the lead practitioner on a number of high profile mergers and prohibited practice cases. Prior to joining ENSafrica I was the Head of Mergers at the Competition Commission of South Africa.

I served as the Head of Mergers from February 2004 to August 2007. As the Head of Mergers my key responsibilities included the investigation of all mergers notified to the Competition Commission, with the aim of ensuring that appropriate decisions as to the approval or prohibition of the mergers are taken. I also served on the Competition Commission’s Executive Committee (Exco), the advisory body to the decision-makers. I joined the Competition Commission in May 2000 as an Analyst in the Policy and Research Division. In 2002 I was promoted and transferred to the Mergers and Acquisitions Division as a Senior Analyst.Education:
