Iris Anderson
About:
Ambassador of BBIA, a trade association promoting the bioeconomy in the UK and a board member of the Natural Materials Association, part of IOM3. Iris has 38 years of policy, regulatory, business and research experience specialising in the bioeconomy, agriculture, energy and sustainability issues. She has worked for several UK government departments and has extensive expertise on diversity and inclusion, setting up and leading staff networks and helping to build and lead cross Whitehall diversity networks. This voluntary work was acknowledged with a British Empire Medal. She is an evaluator for BBI JU and Innovate UK. She also mentors start-ups and SMEs.
