Imelda is Sutherland Full Professor of European Law and former Dean (Sept 2017-Sept 2021) of the UCD Sutherland School of Law. She has published extensively on competition law and EU law and governance. In 2022, she was Senior Emile Noel Global Fellow at New York University School of Law.  A founding member of the European Law Institute (Vienna), she was elected an honorary Bencher of Middle Temple, London and as a member of the Royal Irish Academy.
