Emily Smith-Reid

Deputy General Counsel and Global Head of Competition Law at HSBC, Emily is a highly experienced leader of in-house legal departments - building teams, managing complex investigations and designing global compliance and risk mitigation structures across business lines. Her experience spans various sectors, having previously been a senior member of the BT plc legal team and an associate at Freshfields. Emily is also a diversity and inclusion champion, co-chairing HSBC UK’s Pride network.
