Åsa Käfling

Senior Economist at the Swedish Competition Authority since 2013. Åsa primarily leads Phase II merger control cases, eg she was the project leader for the Swedbank/Svensk Fastighetsförmedling merger case that is known as a major authority’s success – it was Sweden’s first court judgment blocking a merger. Åsa has a background as an Assistant Professor in Strategy at Linköping University.  Her PhD thesis covers mergers among car manufacturers.
