Director-General of DG SANTE since October 2018, having joined the European Commission in 1983. Prior to that she was Director-General and Chair of the Regulatory Scrutiny Board. She was also a Director for structural reforms and competitiveness in the DG for economic and financial affairs from in 2011 – 2016, held other management roles. Holds PhD in macroeconomics - Ecole des Hautes Etudes and MA from Ecole Nationale de Statistique et d’Administration Economique.
